Meeting called to order at 7:00pm
Secretary: The minutes from the August meeting were approved as read.
Treasurer: Meg reported on some of the projects for 2018 and how it will be part of the 2018 budget. Meg estimates it will cost around $500 to repair the sprinkler system in the tot lot. The board also needs to consider the cost for bringing the play area in the tot lot up to code. Some suggestions were pourable rubber and tumbled bark. Chris will look into the cost comparison.
The brick needs to be repaired at the Gables entry and the Woodward monument project are also expenses that the board considered for the new budget.
We were over budget for National Night Out and will increase it for next year.
Landscaping Chairman: Rob reported that he will request a copy of the new contract from Dave Chandler that reflects the 3% increase. He noted the contracted may be increased if we ask for the landscapers to add the maintenance of the trail
The board did not approve the expense of removing one tree for the cost of $1500.
Architectural Control Chairman: Linh reported that this year she has 24 approved improvements with 3 still outstanding.
Rental Property Chair: Chris requested the board meet to discuss and develop a fine/fee schedule for landlords and tenants.
New Business: The board discussed a homeowner’s request for a partial split of the expense of his fence. The board voted to deny the request and send the homeowner a letter to that effect.
