Board of Trustees Meeting
March 25th, 2003
Dale Prior called the meeting to order.
Board members present: Dale Prior, Russ Stocek, Rick Heinz, John Ross. Also present: Joy Church, Bookkeeper
The minutes were read by Dale Prior and approved.
Fire District #40 Representative Bob Jensen reported that the district has brought on 3 new journeymen fire fighters, the first in 12 years. They are all doing well and helping the budget by helping out with overtime. No major issues to report on.
Joy Church provided the Board with a current financial report, which was reviewed and approved. Invoices have been mailed to all homeowners for the 2003 dues and many homeowners have already paid. Currently only 2 homeowners will have late fees.
A special Thank you to all homeowners who have paid on time. It will help all of us to have the money in our account to work with.
Shawn Martin was not present; however, he did report to Dale that the new landscapers are doing a good job with our common areas. A SPRING CLEAN UP is planned for April 19th. Shawn is currently working on bids to improve the Woodward entryway landscaping by bringing in about 20 yards of topsoil and replanting the plants in good soil. Lights will be replaced after that work is done. The County will be replacing about 5 large western cedars at the entryway.
And another special Thank You to the homeowners who helped plant over 100 fir trees, 50 ferns and 40 Red elderberry bushes along the trail and hillside.
John Ross reported approving 1 fence and 1 deck
Also a reminder to please get approval before building! This is how we maintain the appearance of our properties.
Rick Heinz has volunteered to organize the Neighborhood Garage Sale. It will be held on May17th and 18th
Jim Nold was not present; however he also report to Dale that he continues working with law enforcement officials for placement of RADAR SIGNS on 140th and with Metro officials for a BUS STOP at the Woodward entrance. He is also trying to get a chain put across the bollards at the gazebo entrance to keep people from driving into it and a sign Slow traffic stay to right coming up the hill.
Rick Heinz reported on Blockwatch. Rick reported that there was a break in at the Gables and that the burglar came through a kitchen window.
Be aware of strangers and/or solicitors. Get license numbers and descriptions. If you have any doubt at all call 911.
DON’T BE AFRAID TO CALL THE SHERIFF!
GET TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS.
LET YOUR NEIGHBORS KNOW WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO BE GONE.
WATCH OUT FOR YOUR NEIGHBORS.
- The settlement offer for Tract N is being drafted and sent to the Developer for approval.
- Toys for Sport Court being looked at.
- Gazebo to be relocated at the Tot Park in June.
- The new informational neighborhood handbook is just about ready to distribute.
- Any questions re: any or all of these items will be addressed at our next meeting
Russ Stocek is working on scheduling the Neighborhood Golf Day the date to be announced.
