ELLIOTT FARM HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING

Minutes of June 24, 2014

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM by president Chris Rodrigues.  Treasurer Gordon Hill, Secretary Shirleann Nold, and Meg Paul were present.  Sean Bauer was not present.

Renton Fire District 40 was not represented this month.  Updates appear in the Fairwood Flyer.

Minutes from the May meeting were approved as read.

The bookkeeper’s report was not available.  There are only 2 cases of outstanding dues at this time.   Chris, Meg and Gordon will arrange to have new signatures on the HOA bank account.

Architectural Control: Sean Bauer submitted four approvals: –two for painting, one for a fence, and a fourth for a backyard landscaping project. All proposed projects in the community need to have the approval of the architectural chairman.

Landscaping: Gordon is meeting with Malone’s regarding the sprinkler system.  The broken pipes and sprinklers have been repaired, but are not on timers to date.  The board is actively seeking bids for electrical work at the Gables entrance.  Chris has ordered replacements for the broken flyer boxes.   Chris is sanding and repainting the sign at the tot lot. The board is taking bids for stump grinding at the site where trees were removed by the city at the Gables tot lot. There were three residences that have rented the power washer last month. The power washer is available upon request at 10.00 per day by the HOA. Please contact Chris Rodrigues at 206-659-3072 to make your reservation.

New Business:  It was approved by the board that Meg Paul will serve as the new treasurer, replacing Gordon Hill.  Gordon will take on the responsibility for the landscaping committee.

Dumping grass clippings in the green belt is not condoned because wet clippings combined with hot weather can become combustible.

The board is considering new speed limits within our community of 10 mph.

This year, “America’s Night Out” will be celebrated in our community on Tuesday, August 5th at 7:00 PM at the tot lot.  The Fire Department will be invited to send a truck and ice cream will be served.  The board looks forward to big community turnout.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 22, at 7:00 PM.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM.

Respectfully submitted, Shirleann Nold, secretary
