Elliott Farm Homeowner’s Association Board Meeting
Minutes of January, 27th 2015
The meeting was called to order at 7 PM by Chris Rodrigues. Treasurer Meg Scott, Landscaping chair Gordon Hill and Architectural Chair Sean Bauer was also in attendance. Secretary Shirleann Nold was absent.
Meg Scott read the minutes of our November meeting and the board approved the minutes to be posted on our website.
There was no report from Fire District 40.
Bookkeeper Joy Church reported in our financials to Meg Scott that we have close to 70% of our annual dues collected as of January 27th. Homeowners with an outstanding balance from 2015 dues, please make your checks payable to the Elliott Farm Homeowners Association and mail payment to P.O. Box 160 Ephrata, WA. 98823. Please note that the dues fund maintenance of our common grounds, permits, license, taxes, utilities, arborist and special projects we face as a community. All of this translates to a well groomed setting that will maintain your property value.
Gordon Hill reported he will consult with our Landscaping Company to look at the overgrowth of trees in Woodward development. The board is asking for a quote to put new gravel on the path adjacent to the sports court. Our landscaping company has walked the Gables community and reported there are 23 Canadian Maple trees on homeowner lots that are encroaching on utilities and driveway foundations. Homeowner’s may inquire about the removal of trees by contacting Dave Chandler @ firstname.lastname@example.org. All billing would be the responsibility of the homeowner.
Sean Bauer reported there were no submissions for property improvement.
Old Business: A big thank you goes out to Chris & Lucas Rodrigues, Sean Bauer and Gordon Hill for Christmas decorations at the Gables and Woodward entry. The board presented gift certificates to the winners of our 2014 Christmas lighting contest to the Mirivic family in Woodward and the Prince family in the Gables.
New Business: Spring is just around the corner and the board is making plans for our annual Spring Cleanup. The date is set for the weekend of April 25th and 26th. We will provide an aerator and thatcher at no cost to the homeowners. Look for signup sheets and reserve your spot. The board will move forward with the development of our Block Watch program. HOA board members will be coming door to door to obtain contact information and notify you of the Block Watch captain in your sector. Our hope is to pair Block Watch meetings with HOA meetings on a quarterly basis.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10. The Board meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of every month. The next Board meeting will be held on February 24th at 7:00pm at Nativity Lutheran Church. Residents are encouraged to attend.
