Elliott Farm Homeowner’s Association Board Meeting
Minutes of January, 28th 2014
The meeting was called to order at 7 PM by Chris Rodrigues. Bookkeeper Joy Church, Treasurer Gordon Hill, Landscape lead Rob Wick and Architectural lead Sean Bauer were also in attendance. Secretary Shirleann Nold was absent.
Gordon Hill read the minutes of our November meeting and the board approved the minutes to be posted on our website.
There was no report from King County Sheriff or the Fairwood Fire District.
Joy Church reported we have close to 80% of our annual dues collected as of January 28th. A reminder to homeowners with an outstanding balance for 2014 dues, please make your checks payable to the Elliott Farm Homeowners Association. Mail to 16915 SE 272nd St. Suite 100 – PMB 197 Covington, WA. 98042. Homeowner dues fund maintenance of our common grounds, permits, licenses and taxes, energy and water billing, arborist and special projects we may face as a community. All of this translates to a well groomed setting that will maintain your property value.
Gordon Hill reported he is investigating two bank owned properties in our neighborhood. The HOA will identify the bank representing the properties to create a point of contact.
Rob Wick will consult with Malone’s to clear some of the overgrowth at the Gables entry.
Sean Bauer reported there was one submission for a roof replacement. The roof replacement was approved.
Dale Prior, 2013 HOA president, has sold his home and moved from the area. The board unanimously elected Chris Rodrigues President of the HOA as of January 28th, 2014. The directors will consist of Chris Rodrigues, Gordon Hill and Shirleann Nold. The committee members are Sean Bauer and Rob Wick.
Old Business: A big thank you goes out to John Wruble, Sean Bauer & Gordon Hill for Christmas decorations at the Gables and Woodward entry.
New Business: Spring is just around the corner and the board will be making plans for our annual spring cleanup. The date is set for the third weekend in April. The HOA will provide an aerator and thatcher at no cost to the homeowners. Look for signup sheets and reserve your spot.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 PM. Board meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of every month. The next Board meeting will be held on February 25th at 7:00 PM at Nativity Lutheran Church. Residents are encouraged to attend.
